Hi Bigger Pockets Community!  

As I'm typing this, my hands are kind of shaky. I've never really put it out there, but I want to be a real estate investor. Or should I say, I am a real estate investor. (Full disclosure, I don't presently own any investment properties.) I lost money in the real estate market back in 2010, which left me hesitant about buying another property. But, looking back, that setback didn't break me. The itch to get into real estate has stuck in my brain for quite a while, and now I am jumping back in. Yeah, the timing might seem a bit eyebrow-raising. My focus has been on the Cleveland area. I’ve made six offers, but none were accepted. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I recently found Bigger Pockets and can’t get enough. What a knowledgeable, supportive community. I am excited to connect with and learn from you all, as well as contribute to the success of the community. I would love to talk strategy with others investing in Northern Ohio.

You have done nothing wrong. You will only do something wrong if you stop writing offers. Here in Columbus, Ohio, I must write over 6 bids to get something accepted. Do not give up!
