Hello Everyone,

My name is Irette. I am an Atlanta native.

It looks like I will be moving to Philadelphia in a month to take advantage of a job opportunity, so I’m planning to rent out my house. Since I’ve always been interested in real estate investing, I figure renting my primary residence would be a good way to get started and learn.

My long-term goal is to use real estate investing to generate an income. Right now I’m interested in investing in single family residences as buy-and-hold rentals in the Atlanta area since I am familiar with the area and my family is here. As I learn more about real estate, however, that could change.

Other than purchasing my primary residence, I have zero real estate experience. No one in my family is a real estate investor. I have a co-worker, however, who has rental property and is very encouraging.

There’s a lot of learn. I will be asking a lot of questions.

I look forward to interacting with everyone and contributing to the community.
