Semi new real estate investor looking to expand my portfolio

Like many of you, I spent years in school thinking that the path to financial freedom was through a high paying W2 job, a 401k and a large savings account. I took that path. It was not until very recently when my wife was pregnant with our second child that I decided I needed a contingency plan and I needed to do something more responsible than letting my money sit in a savings account. I had an "aha" moment while at my grandfather's funeral late last year and purchased by first STR. From there I developed a 10 year plan hoping to make some kind of real estate investment every year. That brings me here. I realize I know very little compared to most of you and want to learn from the best. I look forward to connecting with like minded, hard working individuals that can help make me a better investor and person.
