My name is Rashida. I am a Nurse Practitioner by trade, and recently acquired my first investment property. This property is a triplex and has been in my family for 56 years. My grandfather did not keep the property updated though and it is in need of a lot of work. There are plumbing and electrical problems but the bones of the property are solid. The property is in Chicago and within walking distance of the beach. With this being my first property and being in my family for so long I don’t think I did my due diligence. I know the property can be worth a good amount fixed up. Just unsure about going through a construction project for my first property. Any advice will help.
