Just getting started all advise is needed and welcome

Hello all 

I am Josh. I am currently working in the medical field. My wife and I are just starting the journey to freedom from the rat race through real-estate investment. We are currently in the research stage while we save money toward our first property.  We are reading reading and doing more reading. It is really over whelming at the beginning(or maybe it is just me). You never really know how much you don't know until you start to learn something new but every book chapter and page bring us closer to our goal.

I am posting here today for any advise from all the ones who have walked this path  before us or are walking it beside us so that when we start we are ready to run. 

We are in central Georgia and would love to get to know others in our area or beyond to start to build a network  and partnerships. Together we are stronger.  

All advise is welcome as well as well wishes

Hi Joshua, welcome to BiggerPockets! This is surely the best place to start networking and learning. I always recommend the book “Rich dad, Poor dad” by Robert T. Kiyosaki to anyone starting out. Start listening to the BiggerPockets podcast starting at the very beginning. Start growing your network, look on Facebook/BiggerPockets for different events, find a mentor doing what you want to do, and get to know the local lenders/brokers.
