Newbie from Tucson AZ

My name is John Daugherty. I'm a construction project manager at Tucson Medical Center; however my true passion has always been real estate investment. About 10 years ago, I had the privilege of working alongside an incredible mentor. For about 2 years, I flipped houses with this man old enough to be my great grandfather. It was great! I learned so much. But what I had to offer was an ability to work, and some construction know how. I didn't know much about the business end of investment.

Since then I've had a couple of kids and worked a 'day job' to provide for our needs. But I'm ready to get back to what I wanna do. I've talked for years about getting back into investment, and my son (now 13) wants nothing more than to jump into it with me. So I'm here to learn what I can and gain as much wisdom as possible for this new adventure.

I'd like to start by flipping some homes to build capital. Eventually, I'd like to get into buying and holding multi-unit housing for passive income. But I'm pretty open to learning about everything at this point. I've been listening to a lot of the podcasts and I'm learning so much that I never considered.
