Hello BP! I have been looking around for beginner real estate forums and I'm excited to to have found this website. I am currently working in RE finance in the city, and now that I've seen what real estate investing can do for institutions, I'm looking forward to getting involved in my first property!

I have read a few RE investing books, and at this point I'm most interested in a hold strategy rather than a flipping strategy. After researching rental trends, it seems as though the markets in Brooklyn are growing the quickest, so I'm very interested in looking there first. Additionally, it seems as though rental property in Brooklyn is slightly less expensive than Manhattan, which is always good.

At this point, I'm looking to connect with investors in the area so that I can learn from their experiences. If there are any New York clubs or meetups that I should be getting involved in, I'm all ears! I'm very eager to meet more people and learn as much as I can. Thanks in advance, and I look forward to catching up on podcasts and reading all the helpful articles posted.
