Brand New to REI. I have no one of like mind around me.

I am brand new to REI. I am financially in a better position than anyone in my family, even my parents. So when I mention real estate investing, they just basically laugh. I have no one of like mind to teach me what I need to know. I am so glad I stumbled upon this site. I will be soaking up all I need to know. I am in Indianapolis, IN. I would love for someone to take me under their wing one day and help guide me while I learn by doing.

Welcome to BP Heather Alte . I completely understand your position as I have experienced a similar situation with my family. I can say that you are taking the right steps in regards to being on BP and networking. As a new investor myself, I think it has been invaluable listening to the BP podcasts. As much as I love my music, I have basically turned it off and listen to the podcasts whenever I can, and I also learn as much as I can from knowledgable people not only on the site, but in life period. My advice would be to continue doing what you're doing now, and just continue to surround yourself around individuals who are doing what you want to do and who are good at it.
