Hello from Upstate New York, a hidden paradise

Jennifer-Lee Fox
Posted

Good day. My name is Jennifer and I live on Upstate New York in a village of 450 people adjacent to a town of 2000. People are moving to this area in droves and there is very little real estate for sale. More on that in a minute. There is a real shortage of rentals. Long time renters are being booted to make airbnbs. There are many vacant homes in fair to poor shape that are owned by people who refuse to sell. There must be a solution to that. I  work as a field case manager and would really like to retire, but not necessarily here. It's paradise, but there are so many places to go and I haven't investigated them all. I'd like to get my daughters involved in investing as well. Any advice on getting these vacant but not abandoned homes or anything else would be welcome.

The Austin metro area gains about 33,700 people annually from domestic migration.

It's no paradise, but it does offer jobs.

What city are you referring to (???)

Have you tried "The best Realtor" in town (???)

Why are people moving there "in Droves"; some type of new employment in the area (???)

What makes this (Secret Place) in upstate New York a paradise (???)
