I can't tell you how long ago I joined Biggerpockets, but I know it's at least been a couple months and today is the first time I'm addressing anyone. I didn't have much to offer, so I felt like I wasn't worthy of any help yet. Now I've realized just how hard it is to get into any kind of investment without help. It isn't about wether I deserve help or not, it's about knowing what you need and going after it.

Some general information about me:

Im 20 years old and work in a construction, plastering to be specific. I've been working alongside my father for a few years. My school breaks were spent learning the trade and how to manage a business. We bought our home just last year and we've been working on it ever since, bit by bit. I've put in hardwood flooring, new drywall and quite a bit more. We've gotten to the point where we are contemplating an addition. It's been a lot of work, but I've learned a lot.

What I'm wondering is how can I get approved for a multifamily residence ( I live in California), I don't have much credit since I've worked cash and haven't really worked on it. I have some money saved up for a down payment and I'm working to get more. I appreciate any advice you have to give on this or any alternative you would take. I have a feeling I might find a few answers in the blog posts, so I'll have another look.

Hope you have a nice day,

Jaime
