Hello From New Investor in SW Pennsylvania

Hi Everyone,

My name is Jared Craig, and I'm brand new to real estate investing. I'm from Greensburg, PA, but in the past 10 years, I've lived and travelled all over the place. I just purchased my first property, a duplex, in the past few weeks and will be closing soon. I came upon Bigger Pockets by chance, but since I've been reading, listening, and learning a lot. Brandon Turner's Investment Calculator spreadsheet helped me to analyze and ultimately buy this first property. It is way past time that I introduce myself here in the forums, but now that I'm here, I look forward to meeting people, and learning even more as I go along.

I am a professional musician, bass player, and singer, and currently perform in a variety of groups and ensembles. I have had a wide ranging and varied musical career that has allowed me to travel extensively and to see and do a lot of very cool things. My ultimate goal is to become financially and creatively free so that I can pursue what ever musical projects interest me without having to worry about taking every gig to pay the rent. It seems that real estate is the best vehicle to accomplish that goal. I'm 28 now, and would love to achieve financial freedom by the time I'm 50.
