New member intro - Investing from overseas

Hi all,

I really look forward to learning more about the site and the resources available here. It looks like an incredible site!

We are a married couple (I'm from the states, wife is from Latin America) and we are interested in slowly building an investment portfolio in the Orlando, FL region. After several months of battling with various ideas, we think we've settled on Orlando, FL due to the fact that there is no state income tax (especially important for someone overseas), Disney is close, it's mid-way between our families, and the weather makes it destination-friendly year round. We strive to identify foreclosed single-family homes that we could rent out on a weekly basis as this would give us a place to stay when we are stateside every once in a while.
