Hello all, my name is Micheal Lowery and I am new to BP and REI. I have a background and degree in Finance and have worked with foreclosures in bank REO portfolios. I made a career change to firefighting, but have an interest to learn more about Real Estate as I believe it truly is a great way to create wealth.

I have read the BP beginners guide and I am beginning to create my business plan. I look forward to contributing, learning and growing with you all!

@Mehran K. thank you for the welcome! You can pick my brain at any time about REO properties and how the bank deals with them. I will be upfront and tell you though that the bank I worked for was a 'small' bank in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan so they make work a little differently than a 'big' bank.

@J Scott Thank you for the advice. I sent a colleague request and hopefully I will be able to touch base with James as he has two properties in the area I am looking to invest in and it sounds like we have similar interests!
