Hello from Kalamazoo!

Enough lurking :)

I'm Josiah Swartz from Kalamazoo, MI. I work full-time as a camp director and have become enamored by the idea of real estate investing on the side. Once I started listening to real estate podcasts (BP and others), I couldn't help but notice all the "for sale" signs in everyone's yard. I see them everywhere now!

I know there's a ton of opportunity around me, but I'm not sure where to start. I keep hearing that connecting with people is the right way to do it so I'm looking for local REIA's in southwest Michigan or all the way to Grand Rapids. Short of that, I'd be grateful for any local real estate pro to advise me on where to direct my efforts.
