New-ish Investor Returning to the REI Ring

Hello BiggerPockets! My name is Matt Looney and I live in Little Rock, AR. I have recently begun dipping my toes back into the Real Estate Investing pool after a seven year absence. In the mid 2000's, my wife and I accidentally got into real estate investing and flipped four properties before out lack of real preparation and the bursting of the housing bubble did us in.

We've spent the last seven years recovering from that. I currently work in aviation and have been transferred to second shift where I only see my wife on the weekends. For me that's just not good enough so I have recently started placing block after strategic block in a foundation for our new real estate investment firm that I hope will bear greater and longer lasting fruits than our first attempt.

Although our credit has recovered for the most part from our personal housing crash, we have been unable to acquire capital for down payments. So I have been trying to absorb all information I can get my hands on in reference to wholesaling properties in order to get at least a small amount of capital to work with.

I only recently stumbled on to this web site and have so far been amazed at the amount of information and the willingness in which it's given. I know I have everything left to learn, but I want to be an active member of this community and if I think my 2 cents can be worth 3 cents to someone else I will do my best to let them know.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know I thank you in advance for your information and interest in the education of other like minded investors. Have a great day!
