New Pocket Grower (investor)

Hey Bigger "than my" Pockets!

4 years ago one of my coworkers was talking to me about how many doors he had. I thought that was weird because my car had 4 doors and my house had a back door and also a front door with internal doors in between. Then he told me about bigger pockets. The pockets on my pants were just fine and I'm not sure why he was bragging. True story..

Added humor aside.. I was hooked and have been researching to the point of analysis paralysis ever since. Fast forward a bit: I have been renting my primary home at that duty location in GA (active military) and am getting ready to sell my home in Tampa FL to fund a STR on the Emerald Coast. So, all the Emerald Coast STR people I have been stalking in the shadows on here... I've brought my toys to the sandbox and I'm finally ready to play.

I'm excited to get started! I'm in the middle of securing financing right now, but once that's done, I'll be building my team and getting my poops in a group to run this thing from long distance. Please feel free to reach out and say hello, offer advice, tell me your favorite color, or anything else. Chow for now

- Nick

Hi Nick, thanks for your humor. Welcome to BP and real estate investing. My advice is to buy a property that you can visit often, even if you don't self-manage. You'll want to keep a close eye on it as you learn about investing and managing. My favorite color is green, so I'm happy you picked the Emerald Coast, by the way.
