Hi Everyone,

I'm new to real estate investing although I've been thinking about it for a long time now. After coming across bigger pockets and listening to all the podcasts, I'm finally ready to jump in a get started! I'm a residential landscape construction contractor by trade (jvrlandscape.com) and hoping to turn investing into a side/winter business for myself. I love landscaping and I feel real estate investing can work well in my slower winter months or weekends during the summer.

I'm now focusing on finding my first rehab project in the Calgary Alberta Canada area. I'm hoping to purchase in the next 30-60 days. I know there is still a lot to learn but what better way to learn than to just jump in. With bigger pockets to back me up and answer my questions it calms my nerves a bit.

The toughest part I have now is to find my first deal. After listening to most of the podcasts so far, I feel I should really be focusing on my marketing and networking. Any other Calgary investors out there looking to network?

Thanks For Reading! -
