New Investor in Southeast Texas

Keegan Shaver
Posted

Hi there!

My name is Keegan Shaver, I'm a new investor in the southeast Texas area (mainly Beaumont). I joined Biggerpockets after reading How to Invest in Real Estate By Joshua Dorkin and Brandon Turner. My main reason for joining Biggerpockets is the community. I have done some research and I just haven't found many groups to join and discuss real estate with. I am also looking for a possible mentor. I am wanting to start my real estate journey in Wholesaling, then eventually make the move into flipping houses and purchasing rent properties. I want to start with wholesaling because of all the strategies i've seen and read about it seems to fit best with my current financial situation. I know that a lot of work is involved with any real estate investing but it's something that truly excites me. I currently do not have a real estate license but this is something i'm looking to change in the future, the benefits seem to outweigh any negatives. As for a mentor situation there is not much a can bring in the way of experience or finances but I am ready and willing to make myself valuable to you and your company in any way I can, I just want the chance to learn. I hope to get to know plenty of y'all soon!

Thank you,

Keegan Shaver
