Newbie Question. Help

Phil Burk
Posted

Good morning, ladies and gents. My name is Phil, an aspiring real estate investor. I am excited to join the bigger pockets family and hopefully make great relationships and connections through this site. I have a quick question for anybody out there that's able to answer it. Can someone get a real estate license from a different state of their own state of residency? For example, can someone from Kansas get a real estate license from Colorado?  Thank you for your time.

Hey @Phil Burk, congratulations on doing the work and welcome!

First, a question I would have is what do you plan on using the license for?

I am not an expert here but would imagine the state residency requirement will vary from state to state. For example, in California where I am currently located, there is no residency requirement to hold a license. I would image it could be the same in other states, but will likely be state-dependent.
