Hey everyone! I have listened to a few episodes of the early podcast and love the content. What a treasure to have all that information in one place. Thank you for those that have been providing the masses with this.

I originally began my love for real estate young when my dad owned an entire street in downtown Sacramento CA and had them all rented out. I was about 7 and learned everything especially how to treat people with respect. My Brothers and I would fix roof leaks, leaky faucets, backed up toilets, and a pile of other things. I loved this part, being able to help someone and serve them was one of my fondest memories.

Fast forward to about 18 and I presented the opportunity to purchase some land in Nampa Idaho and begin my real estate journey but ... Girls were more enticing. :)

It wouldn't be until I was in my mid 20's until I purchased a super distressed home and quickly realized I was over my head and sold it in 3 days for 10k more. Then I started a family and never really got into investing the way I wanted to.

At the beginning of last month my family and I made a huge change to move to Summerville SC so we could get closer to a great Hospital (and the beach). My daughter needs a complicated heart surgery and MUSC is the place.

After moving to SC I realized my love for real estate has not changed in fact this place is a Nicholas Sparks book everywhere i go and I want to begin building a portfolio however I don't know where to start. How do I find other people in this area? How do I connect with people near here?

Any help moving forward is greatly appreciated.
