Newbie/Lurker/Lawyer/Broker from NYC/North Jersey

Hi everyone!

I will begin by confessing that I've been reading Bigger Pockets since February of this year and listening to the Podcasts religiously - you are all doing a phenomenal job.

As for me, I'm an attorney by trade. I began my career as a Public Defender in Monroe County, NY. I moved back home to New York City about a year and a half ago for another opportunity and in May began working as a broker in Manhattan to get my feet wet with this real estate thing. So far, so good, however, the intention is really to get on the investor side.

Immediate goal: to absorb as much as possible between now and May. Lease ends then and my partner and I have agreed to buy and move into our first multi in New Jersey. Even more immediate than that: to get more involved on this site and local REIAs. Long term, I plan to pick up enough doors to cover what a "regular job" would provide in income. Details to follow in another post.

I look forward to the continued education here, to speaking with, and meeting some of you!

Go Giants!(?)
