Newbie from Dallas area

Hi, my name is Cathy and I am in the Dallas metroplex. I grew up in Plano and am still in the area. I have been reading as much as possible on BiggerPockets since June. And, I really enjoy the podcasts as well. I really appreciate all the information that everyone shares here! I have yet to take any action. But, I do want to get my RE license to gain more knowledge of how the process works. My plan is to find a brokerage that is REI friendly and work in the industry. My hope is to gain hands on experience, connections, confidence and money to start to invest myself. I was a stay at home mom managing our from home Packaging sales biz for 8 years until last year. I went to work in the same industry in Government Contracts. I then realized I don't want to work for anyone else.

I did attend the first two DFW BiggerPocket meetups and they were great. I was fortunate to be there for speaker Jerry Puckett. I couldn't make the last one with Jon Krauss tho:(
