1st time investor/basic knowledge

Hello everyone,

I’m new to Real Estate, as basic as you can get. Don’t own any properties yet, only my home.  

I recently got deported and will be in Mexico for about 2 years.  I was forced to move my whole life around.  My family is staying with my in-laws while our home is being rented currently.  

My goal is to keep renting our home and use the money saved to buy our next property.

Would love any help, ideas, advice as to how to go about doing it.
