Hello from Iraq

Hi everyone, I've been wanting to get into real estate investing for some time, but just haven't taken the plunge. My wife is finally on board with our financial goals and I think we are finally ready to take a serious look at this and get our feet wet. I have only just joined and haven't read a single thread yet, but I hope to get a lot of good information from you experts out there.
I'm currently deployed in Iraq until September so I probably can't do much before I get back. But, I can read, learn, and absorb in the meantime right? Thanks for having me.
