Kevin Prince (33) – Brandon, MS

I live in Brandon, MS… suburb of Jackson, MS. I’m married with no kids… yet… but hopefully soon.

I’m new to the real estate… kind of… new to it as purely an investment at least. I’ve purchased and personally fixed up or added to a couple of homes that were personal residence and did well on them when I sold them.

My wife and I are considering buying our first rental property. We want to find a property that needs work so we can get a good deal and put some love into the property and then hold it. I’ve got dreams of doing this several times, but we’ll start with one for now. We discussed flipping but don’t have the time at the moment to put into that or the risk for that matter.

Our finances are in good shape… will probably do conventional financing while we can. We’re very safe investors… if there’s really such a thing! The goal is to rent the property for a modest gain and have the property as an asset for the future. We both work and love our jobs so this is just an alternative for us outside of our 401k’s and other savings accounts to prepare for retirement.

Hope that’s enough for an intro. I’ve been listening to all the podcast and just starting to explore the site. I hope to have questions later and hopefully contribute soon.
