Is new construction a viable option for realtors?

Hello everyone. I recently started my journey as a real estate agent and I have a closed deal under my belt along with two accepted contracts soon to be closed as well. I came in to the market at the right time(August) which most definitely contributed to that. The market has slowed down a lot and I was exploring other possibilities along with what I already do and new construction came across as a one of those possibilities. Any other agents explore this option? If so... how does it work, how effective is it, do you have any tips and would you recommend?
