Colorado does not require a GC license?

Hi Everyone,

We have a contractor coming from out to state to do renovations for me.The contractor told me that he will be completing the work through his same company but working under a foreign qualification business license. Essentially allowing him to do business in Colorado using the same name and EIN. I have insurance and worker's comp from him already but not sure about the GC License issue.

Has anyone experienced this before and can tell me if this is an acceptable way of engaging him? Appreciate your comment and feedback.

Thanks!
