House hacking when a roommate has coronavirus ... thoughts?
A client just texted saying she has a friend who's renting out their investment property in Denver by the room. They rent three bedrooms. Two were vacant but about to be filled. The third was already occupied by a nurse. That nurse just tested positive for coronavirus, and the two soon-to-be tenants understandably pulled out.
Luckily for us, all of my and Erin's places are whole-house medium-tern furnished rentals, so the nurse we just rented to in one of our units will be isolated and will not affect (or infect) anyone else should she contract covid-19.
It seems unpatriotic right now to not rent to a nurse, but it's a tough situation to be in as a landlord. Any other house hacking types dealing with this in Denver or Colorado Springs? Thoughts?
