Private mailboxes: need to move them

I have a row of neighbors mailboxes on a lot I bought. It is on my property and is right in the way of driveway apron.  Can I just cut them down and move then to a new location. It would still be just as easily and safely accessible by the USPS and the neighbors, only 50ft down the road (and technically still on my property).  Do I need to tell anyone or get permission to do this??
