Colorado Information resources

I'm curious what sources everyone uses for information regarding RE, ecomonics and such in the state? I read the Denver posts Real Estate section regularly, and get a publication from The Group Inc. That is more cheer leading than anything in my opinion, but some good data. Are there any other resources that Colorado local can recommend? Thanks!

@Account Closed set up keyword alerts and you will get most of the information on the state RE related economic information when it's reposted/discussed here on Bigger Pockets. The ones that I have found valuable and have mentioned on BP are as follows.

The state department of housing publishes vacancy rates as does the Denver Apartment Owners Association. Lots of times the Post reports this info.

Several title companies publish home sales information, again the Post will sometimes publish this info as well. Mine comes from Land Title but I have also seen one that Chicago Title does and I'm sure the other big title companies do the same.

There are a couple of state and federal agencies that publish data on the economy. US Census Bureau for population. You have to sift through it and get what you want. Again sometimes this is published in the Post.

There are various economic forecasts/summaries published such as the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation. It's local specific and covers more than RE topics.

There are some commercial brokerages that summarize the commercial market and the related economic data on a periodic basis. These are geared more to the macro level but also contain good information. Marcus and Millichap is one that I have read.

Locally, the brokerage of Your Castle Real Estate, does a great job of tracking data related to residential real estate. Through their affilitated title company - First Alliance Title they offer a class about once a quarter that summarizes statistics that they believe relate to residential real estate investing. It is sort of geared towards convincing newbies that investing in RE is a good idea but it's backed by good facts. I make a point of attending this about twice a year.

There are a number of blogs focusing on local real estate and development such as Denverinfill.

I would say that it takes a while to put together the list for information that you consider to be important.

In addition, if you learn a bit about google searches you can write a script that will turn out new articles containing the RE information you want.

As you read news articles, most will quote their source. Make a note of that and get on their list, book mark their site or figure out some way of knowing when they publish new information.

As you network in the business you will pick up your favorites.

Disclaimer, while I have read information from the sources above and have used some of the businesses in my business of real estate investing, I value their information, I use that information to shape my perspective, but I have no business affiliation with any of them.

Happy investing.
