Newbie first deal for Syndication

Hello all, I have heard a few podcasts and read a bit about syndication and would like to jumpstart my career in Syndication for multi family. Other than that I am new to Syndication and I’m learning about it from podcasts and books for now. A buddy of mine who is a great real estate agent has a list of investors just waiting for a great deal and I would like to benefit everyone by being the Syndicator and completing my first deal. Having a mentor would be a huge help and also any advice would be greatly appreciated on how I can close my first deal.
