Is anybody house hacking in South Bay CA?

I'm really interested in the concept of house hacking and just finished reading the new book "The House Hacking Strategy". I care about school district and live in expensive market which makes it really challenging to find what I'm looking for, but I don't want to give up and want to seek advice. I'm also looking forward to connect with like minded people locally. Any tip is welcome!
