29 Palms -Looking for Land Appraisal Tips!

Hello BP! First post here so I hope I'm doing it right. A family member of mine owns raw land in 29 Palms, and we were interested in appraising it as a first step in determining what our options are. If anyone can recommend a good appraiser in the area, please share!

Typically you just need to find sales in the area for similar lots to get an idea of value.  Appraisers typically don't deal with raw land.  You should be able to got to Zillow.com, LandWatch.com, and/or Redfin.com to find a few different lots that have sold in the same area in the last year or so in order to get a feel for value.
