No official REIAs in San Francisco or East Bay?

Hey all,

I've been looking for about a week now, and it doesn't seem there's any active REIAs in San Francisco or in the East Bay as a whole?

There's meetups here and there, but nothing like an official REIA that my dad is a part of in my hometown of St. Louis, MO.

Any pointers?

I'm not convinced there is such a thing as an "official" REIA.... who would the licensing authority be?

There's a normal set of core folks at most of the meetups in the East Bay.

The lack of formality is probably just a Bay Area thing, informality and inclusiveness... we don't wear suits to job interviews (I'm a finance professional and own exactly 1 suit, where else but the Bay Area would that be acceptable?) and are a hyper inclusive area (relative to the rest of the US), why would we hand out formal cool club REIA membership cards & define who is/isn't cool enough to gain membership? This is the East Bay - come one, come all, and you will be the odd duck out if you show up in a tie.

Here's the one I usually hang out at, you might see a familiar face next to the upcoming event later this month. :)
