Hello all, I plan on building a 300 sq ft Adu studio in my backyard, I live in Los Angeles south bay area. I plan on hiring an architect or structural engineer to submit plans. Any advice on how to prepare for the initial conversation with the architect or engineer.

What type of questions should i ask?

what type of questions will the architect or structural engineer have for me?

Anyone have any bad experiences i should be aware of?

Any recommendations?

Thank you
