Oakland, Ca eviction recommendation
My mother owns a duplex in Oakland, both are occupied and paying below market rate (1/2 of market rate). They have challenged her many times in court when she's wanted to raise the rent. It seems that they both may be considered "protected status". I suggested that my mother move into one of the units however since Im not familiar with the rent control in Oakland -Im not sure if this is even possible. Can someone recommend attorney/paralegal that has experience with these types of evictions?
Thanks.
