"Seller" being cagey
So. Craigslist ad for "huge equity house". Worth a gazillion. Selling for pennies. Blah blah. I reply for info. Figure I would get the start of wholesale pitch.
He sends me the address only. And says we buy them site unseen. That's why it's cheap. I said huh. Ok. Are you wholesaling it? He says he gets them from a "holding company". And doesn't know the condition or the status of residency of the house. But he "has it under contract".
I drove it. It looks like what I want. But it is obviously occupied.
Has anyone seen this move before...? I don't want to be evicting anyone. First flip
In California. If I have the address. Can I search for foreclosure or nod status? I just need info on the property. And their lack of info seems shady to me. Lying by Omission.
