Joshua Tree Electrician and Landscaping service

Hi everybody. I just purchased my first home out in Joshua Tree, CA and have quite a few projects I need done in and around the house. I'm having a hard time finding quality, reliable services for landscaping and electric. Does anyone have anybody they would recommend? This is my first home, so I don't really know what I'm doing, which very well might be part of the problem, but any help is appreciated. Also, where do you look for high quality contractors, plumbers, etc.? Google isn't as helpful as I had expected it to be. Thanks in advance.
