Trouble evicting in CA with "COVID Impact "response requirement?
Hello Everyone!
Has anyone had difficulty evicting tenants for non-payment of rent in the past 3 months since the California Eviction Moratorium ended, but there is the new requirement of posting a 15 day notice with a "COVID Impact" response form?
My property manager said they are required to give this notice now to non-paying tenants instead of the 3-day notice to pay rent or quit.
Are some of your tenants claiming they have had a "COVID" impact when they really did not?
How long does the 15 day COVID Impact response requirement add to the total time frame to get tenants out compared to before COVID?
Are there any other tenant protections in place in California related to COVID besides this one?
I have one SFR rental in California, and this property is in Modesto (Stanislaus county).
Any replies would be appreciated!!
