Birmingham Division Tax Auction Date: Tuesday June 4, 2019

Bessemer Division Tax Auction Date: Tuesday May 21, 2019

Jefferson County, Alabama, has two divisions--Birmingham Division and Bessemer Division. The tax assessor card for a property will tell you which division controls that property. Normally Birmingham and Bessemer hold their tax auctions on the same date and time, but 15 miles apart. This year, the Birmingham Division made a mistake in their newspaper notices and had to postpone the auction.  Bessemer will be held on the original date of May 21, 2019.  Birmingham will be on the new date of June 4, 2019.
