Who is doing short term rentals in the DC Area?

Who is killing it with Airbnb or other similar services in and around the Washington D.C. area?  I'm thinking about writing on this topic for the Washington Post and I just wanted to chat with a few of you in the business and possibly interview you for the story if it happens.

Reach out to me if you're renting out a room or your basement of if you are doing a 100 units or anything in between.

I want to know the problems, the setbacks, the victories, the impact of regulation, what you like, what you hate, how you manage it, what the numbers look like, etc.  Is it the way of the future for landlords or will the man shut it down.

There is a petrochemical refinery and nitrogen fertilizer facility here.  It employs about 600 locals.  It also uses specialty labor, traveling contractors for short term jobs.  Welders, pipefitters, electricians, boilermakers and other master craftsmen.  They get a per diem.  I rent them STRs for the same price as a motel room.  They also have to take a drug screen first in order to get a badge that gets them through a gate at the refinery.  My official day job is giving drug screens.
