Vacation Home Lenders - Joshua Tree or Yucca Valley
I'm looking into purchasing a home in either Joshua Tree or Yucca Valley and using it as a short-term rental. A recent Bigger Pockets podcast had a guest that indicated he got a vacation home loan for a property in Joshua Tree. However, when I recently asked a lender if I could get a vacation home loan (which would only require a 10% down payment, rather than 20% down), he said that you couldn't get a vacation home loan for Joshua Tree. (Though you could get one for Big Bear.) Does anyone know if this is true? Thanks BP community for any help you can provide.
