Nest Yale Lock and Nest Hello for STR

Hi Bigger Pockets Community,

Newbie here but have been enjoying reading the forums and getting tons of info.  We are closing on new cabin in Gatlinburg this week and wanting to get setup with smart home for security and thermo.  Leaning towards going with Nest since we have it in our home and generally works well but I had a few questions for anyone out there who's used it on their property!

Nest Yale Lock- this looks great and seems functional, any troubles other then battery dying?  It seems like when wifi is down, the lock still works with whatever the last code, is that correct?

Hest Hello Doorbell- we only have one entry to the cabin so I think this is best way for security.  Not currently wired for a doorbell but I'm thinking can either get it wired or use the indoor plug in option?  Again just wondering if any issues with that.

Nest Thermo- seems pretty straightforward

Nest Wifi Router- was going to get these to make sure wifi good throughout the cabin but also for the Lock, doorbell, etc.

Many thanks for the input.  I know a lot of this has been discussed in other forums.

    @Alan Rafferty

    Schlage encode is industry standard right now.

    Nest Yale is a close second but can be hard to set up if you don’t understand 5.0 vs. 2.4
