Vacation Rental / Short Term in Boca Raton, Florida?

Hey BP folks! Does anyone have an Airbnb / VRBO / Vacation Rental / etc in Boca Raton, Florida?

I've been shopping for a single family home in the area, made some offers...

But at a meet-up recently someone said it was illegal to airbnb in Boca!

Well a quick google search shows something like 10 million airbnbs and STRs around my area.

I was going to press forward with my plan and assume the claim about an anti-STR Boca ordinance must be either false or un-enforceable, but then I found ONE shred of evidence on the airbnb community pages: https://community.withairbnb.c...

Boca isn't cheap. So I just don't want to plow tons of money and time into a non-starter of a plan. Any feedback or experience is hugely appreciated!

Thanks!

-Kyle
