First cabin in Asheville area
Hey, everyone! Excited to go from lurker to member and gain more knowledge and insight from the BP community! I love the supportive atmosphere of BP and would love to share any knowledge I can as well! Have been an agent since 2008 and have done some flips and wholesaling, but am planning to buy our first cabin very soon and dive into the STR world! Looking in the Asheville, Waynesville, Maggie Valley, NC area. Would love any advice for a first timer! I have seen that @Avery Carl, @Lucas Carl, and @Julie McCoy seem to be a wealth of knowledge and experience in this field, and I'm sure there are others as well! Any help is much appreciated!

Y'know what I'm looking for, fractional ownership with 3-7 other people. I saw this a couple times when I was an agent a long long time ago, but I just don't really know of where to look. But I would think: heck if I could spend $200k on a cabin with some acreage within 20 miles of Asheville, and use a Google calendar or something to pick who gets which days -- amounting to a pro rata share -- and we all pay $7.5k a year for cleaning and insurance and property tax and such, that would be awesome. Very rarely does one want to live in a cabin 365 days a year, so if you get it for about 85 days a year and it's 1/4th the price, that's great, right?
If anyone hears about anything along these lines, let me know!
I'm going to create a new post come to think of it!
