Self managing a STVR in Bug Bear, CA?

Hi guys!

I purchased a cabin in Big Bear Lake, CA on a whim a year ago and spent quite a bit of money and time and money on renovating it. It was like giving birth. So incredibly painful but so worth it at the end.

I have a boutique property manager managing it entirely. I really like the property manager personally but it takes 30% of my revenue and I’m not 100% confident that guest concerns/complaints are being handled in a way that aligns with my philosophy.

Does anyone self manage a property in big bear lake? Where guest check in with a local person is required by the city?

How do you navigate?

Or do you love your property manager? Any recommendations?
