Hi, I am currently exploring investing in Galveston, TX in the short term rental market. Are there any investors here that I can bend your ear for a few to gather information on the market, taxes/fees, ups/downs, and maybe any other little speed bumps lurking around? I live in League City so I can also meet you for a cup of coffee if you'd like. Thanks in advance.

    @Alberto Medellin 1. Wind/storm insurance. Price it. 2. Property tax, and what it will be without homestead exemption (hint: you will not get the exemption if it's an STR). I was absolutely floored.
