Palm Springs Restrictions?

Would love to hear from individuals as well as companies who rent out in PS. How bad are the restrictions? I own 2 cabins in Big Bear and manage 15 others where restrictions are pretty easy- but I'm looking to branch out. Kept thinking JT but I really love mid century modern homes.
