Good opportunity to pick up vacation rentals?

Given the situation at hand, with many STR investors losing income due to this virus, is this a good opportunity to find good deals on vacation rentals? Or should I steer away from buying these myself since there's no clear end in sight for the virus?

I agree with the others. It's too early to tell and you're unlikely to find any "fire sales" right now. It's only been 4-6 weeks and most people can survive that. If this nonsense carries on for a couple more months, particularly going into the summer season, then you'll see people bailing in large numbers.

Even then, it may not be a good time to buy. They may be bailing because the industry is too weak to justify staying in. It only makes sense to buy a property if you can turn it around and make a profit.
