To me it's land line telephones.  Every motel room has them.  Why?  Why in this day and age?  None of my STRs have a telephone.

@Julie McCoy are they touch tone or rotary dial telephones?  If they are touch tone, are they cordless?

I'm not sure if you know what a rotary dial telephone is though.
